Quebec Winter Carnival
In North America's most European old city, the deep cold of February is the liveliest season of all. Bonhomme, the snowman in a red cap and bright sash, presides over an ice palace; there are night parades and snow-sculpture contests in the streets, and on the St. Lawrence River racers push canoes through floating ice. One sip of hot, fiery Caribou and you will find that a world of ice and snow can leave you sweating with fun.
