Chuuk Lagoon Wreck Diving
Chuuk Lagoon’s wrecks bring divers close to ships, aircraft and artifacts left by the Second World War. The underwater scene is striking, but it carries a history of loss; these are not souvenirs to handle or remove. From outside, a hull can be seen becoming habitat, while machinery and aircraft remain in some compartments. Depth, corrosion and overhead spaces call for careful decisions on every dive. Seeing the site begins with learning how not to damage it further.
