Burning Man

Each late summer, on a barren dry lakebed in Nevada, more than 70,000 people build a city in a week, bringing glowing monumental art, mutant vehicles remade as octopuses and sailing ships, and electronic music that never stops. Nothing is sold here; people trade in gifts. On the final night everyone gathers on the desert floor to watch the towering wooden figure fall in flames.
