Uluru

At first, Uluru looks like one complete rock mountain. Closer in, hollows, fissures and water-shaped curves appear. Before sunset, ocher shifts toward orange-red and smoky violet, while the red earth and sky change with it. For the Anangu people, this is a home with stories and protocols. Listening at the base brings you closer to the meaning of the rock than climbing it ever could.
