Shilin Stone Forest
Yunnan’s Stone Forest is not a wild plateau covered in blades, but a group of upright limestone pillars arranged among paths, grass and tree shade. In the Greater Stone Forest, columns overlap and narrow passages divide the view; the Lesser Stone Forest opens out differently. This is a representative pinnacle-karst landscape of South China, connected to the local culture of the Sani Yi people.
