Punakaiki Pancake Rocks

At Punakaiki, gray limestone is sliced into dense horizontal layers resembling stacked pancakes. The Dolomite Point path reveals towers, narrow gaps and sea caves; white spray rises through openings only when tides and swell cooperate.
