Jaguars of the Pantanal
The Pantanal is the world’s largest tropical wetland. In the drier months, rivers recede and jaguars bask on banks or stalk caimans in the shallows. Small boats weave through the waterways near Porto Jofre; look up and a spotted cat may be watching from shore. Boat-based viewing has made this famously elusive animal easier to look for, but no outing guarantees a sighting.
