Moeraki Boulders / Te Kaihīnaki

Large concretions line Koekohe Beach: some nearly spherical and smooth, others split like opened shells. They formed within mudstone before erosion exposed them. Round outlines, calcite-filled cracks, wet-sand reflections and surf together define the scene.
