Milford Sound / Piopiotahi

Milford Sound’s signature landmark is Mitre Peak, but this is not a place that needs constant sunshine to be beautiful. After rain, new white waterfalls appear across the cliffs, cloud presses on the peaks and boats edge beneath the rock walls. At the end of New Zealand’s South Island, even “bad weather” becomes part of the scenery.
