Kelimutu Three-Colored Lakes

Three crater lakes sit close together on the summit of Kelimutu on Flores. The two eastern lakes share a narrow volcanic divide, while a third lies to the west. Different water chemistry and volcanic conditions make their colors change independently; there is no fixed red-blue-white combination. The distinctive scene is three separate lake basins visible on a single summit.
