Hallerbos Bluebells

Around mid-April each year, the floor of the Hallerbos is covered in wild bluebells (wild hyacinths): fresh green leaves glow between straight, pale-grey beech trunks above a blue-violet carpet of flowers. Unlike the planted tulip gardens of Keukenhof, this is a wild bloom on the forest floor, and it is at its best for only a week or two before the canopy closes.
