Augrabies Falls and Granite Gorge

At Augrabies, river water concentrates between bare rock walls and plunges into a narrow gorge within a semi-arid granite plateau. Dry terrain, smooth weathered surfaces and concentrated white water create the defining contrast. Main-falls platforms and other park viewpoints reveal different parts of the landscape.
