Festly

Swedish Midsummer

On the longest day of the year, Swedes put on flower crowns, walk to a lakeside meadow and together raise a maypole draped in blossoms and leaves. Then they join hands, sing in circles and eat herring with new potatoes. Leksand and Rättvik in Dalarna are the most authentic homeland of the festival.
