Merzouga Camel Trek

Merzouga is a settlement in southeastern Morocco beside the Erg Chebbi dunes, a gateway to Saharan sand. Travelers can ride a camel into the dunes before sunset, or walk or drive to a camp, then watch the morning light move along the ridges. This is not a solitary crossing of an endless desert, but a short desert outing shaped by the camp’s location and a guide’s arrangements.
