Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Reaching Machu Picchu at the end of a trek gives the arrival a different weight. The Inca Trail climbs stone steps over high passes, then enters damp cloud forest; terraces, ruins and valleys unfold with each day’s walk. The classic route starts at Piscacucho and reaches the stone city days later. The climbs and descents along the way are part of understanding the Andean landscape.
