Harbin Ice and Snow World

Every winter, Harbin workers saw hundreds of thousands of cubic metres of ice from the frozen Songhua River and raise castles, towers and ice slides hundreds of metres long on Sun Island. After dark, coloured lights glow from within the blocks and the whole park becomes a gigantic jewel. It is the largest ice-and-snow theme park in the world, a spectacle you can only see at minus thirty.
