Great Ocean Road
Victoria’s Great Ocean Road follows the southern coast for about 243 kilometers, connecting Torquay’s surf culture, the Otway rainforest and the limestone shore around Port Campbell. Returned servicemen built the road from 1919 to 1932 in memory of their fallen comrades in the First World War. It also crosses lands cared for by Aboriginal communities for generations.
